Carolina Vo
She/her

Growing up in Fayetteville, NC, Carolina experienced first-hand how limited community resources hinder a child's ability to reach their fullest potential. Throughout her studies, she selflessly devoted herself to improving the wellbeing of children. From studying the relationship between parenting styles and childhood alcoholism, to volunteering at preschool gardening projects, and working with military children during pre-deployment, Carolina has always been passionate about the community's role in a child's development. As she pursues her medical education at UNC-Chapel HIll, she was drawn to Wildly Inclusive's vision of providing a supportive environment to empower children to discover the passions that align with their true selves.

My name is jacquelyn, but most call me jacq (“jack”). i have worked as a speech language pathologist in a pediatric outpatient hospital clinic for the past four years. beforehand, i earned my undergraduate degree at the university of kansas and masters at the university of north carolina-greensboro - both in speech language pathology.

the dream for brave roots started in graduate school when i first saw my two passions, speech therapy and the outdoors, collide while interning at a hippotherapy site. it was evident how engaging & stimulating nature was for all involved. we are taught the importance of targeting a child’s goals in their “natural setting”. natural settings are typically thought of as home and school…but what about actually in nature? the outdoors is a space everyone has access to and holds all the material we could possibly need to learn and grow! this concept is central to the services we provide. i am intentional about meeting children (and families) where they are in their journey and engaging in shared decision making all along the way!
